NUEVA PIEL PARA UNA VIEJA CEREMONIA
Nueva piel para una vieja ceremonia is the first edition of our Artist curated Project (ACP) which started with the intention of fostering a dialogue and exploration around contemporary painting and its problematics. The program gives space to the gallery’s artists in order to develop exhibitions and to expand the dialogue with new generations.

"This project is a review of the mechanisms, conceptions, beliefs, strategies, postures and ways of making and approaching the language and medium of painting in the context of contemporary creation through the work of various artists whose works propose, review , contradict, oppose and / or expand the pretext of the pictorial from visual, formal and discursive platforms that range from the personal, the sentimental, the geographical, the political, the social, the abstract, the cultural and the psychological, enabling a perspectivist vision of the idea of painting as a complex, plural and contradictory becoming.
The sample includes paintings, drawings, collages, photography, objects, sculptures and video.
This selection of work transcends linear, historicist, chronological and style perceptions to give rise to a space that opens and creates diverse models of thought, invents cosmologies, generates mental maps that others can use and see to do something that makes the mystery and the magic of the world is something on our physical reach."

Nueva piel para una vieja ceremonia es la primera exposición que forma parte de Artist Curated Project (ACP), programa que nace de la intención de fomentar el diálogo y la exploración en torno a la pintura contemporánea y sus problemáticas. El programa da espacio a los artistas de la galería para que desarrollen exposiciones y amplíen el diálogo con nuevas generaciones y agentes externos a la galeria.

"Este proyecto expositivo es una revisión de los mecanismos, concepciones, creencias, estrategias, posturas y maneras de hacer y aproximarse al lenguaje y medio de la pintura en el contexto de la creación contemporánea a través de la obra de diversos artistas cuyas obras plantean, revisan, contradicen, contraponen y/o amplían el pretexto de lo pictórico desde plataformas visuales, formales y discursivas que van desde lo personal, lo sentimental, lo geográfico, lo político, lo social, lo abstracto, lo cultural y lo psicológico posibilitando un visión perspectivista de la idea de pintura como un devenir complejo, plural y contradictorio.
La muestra incluye pinturas, dibujos, collages, fotografías, objetos, esculturas y videos.
Esta selección de obra trasciende percepciones lineales, historicistas, cronológicas y de estilo para dar lugar a un espacio que abre y crea modelos diversos de pensamiento, inventa cosmologías, genera mapas mentales que otros pueden usar y ver para hacer algo que hace que el misterio y la magia del mundo sea algo palpable."
