The exhibition explores the relationship that exists between the macrocosm and the microcosm of a city. In this case, she investigates this relationship in Mexico City, looking for the elements that compose the metropolitan area and the universe that structures it.
 
Mexico City is a city with more than twenty million inhabitants, which grows as an urban macrocosm and is in turn divided by neighborhoods or neighborhoods. These neighborhoods, as a microcosm, are creating their own identity, but they are always part of the configuration of the whole. Intertwined by roads, roads and asphalt avenues (chapopote), these microcosms come together to create a macrocosm. This exhibition is an example of how the topography of a place and its peculiarities are perceived and drawn by a foreign eye.
 
Leslie Sardinias lives and works between New York and Havana. In 2016 she did the art and design for the set design for the New York City Ballet's Rhapsody in Blue ballet, choreographed by Christian Wheeldon. In 2015 she participated in the XII Biennial of Havana with the exhibition La Comunidad, presented at the Museum of Colonial Art in Havana. She has participated in more than 20 group and individual exhibitions in different countries such as the United States, Brazil, Spain, Mexico and Cuba.
